Besson

Since being founded by Gustave Auguste Besson in 1837, the Besson name has become synonymous with production of the finest brass instruments. It is particularly well known for the range of background brass instruments. The company invented the famous compensating systems for euphoniums and tubas. Besson instruments captured a major part of the British market, and they have been exported to many countries in Europe, the United States, and Japan.
